Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind peer review, and a separate title page has been provided.
  • The text is formatted in Times New Roman (12 pt), double-spaced, with standard margins and page numbers.
  • The manuscript adheres to APA 7th edition style, including in-text citations and a complete reference list.
  • A structured abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords are included.
  • The submission fits within the journal’s scope and complies with the appropriate word limits.
  • All tables and figures are properly numbered, captioned, and permissions have been obtained where necessary.
  • The manuscript complies with ethical standards, including disclosure of conflicts of interest, funding sources, and use of AI-assisted tools.

JOURNAL OF MONGOLIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY: RESERACH AND INNOVATION STYLE GUIDE

1. JOURNAL PROFILE

The Journal of Mongolia International University: Research and Innovation is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal published by Mongolian International University. The Journal welcomes research across the social sciences, humanities, education, business, and emerging interdisciplinary fields.

Given its interdisciplinary scope and international readership, the Journal adopts APA 7th edition as its official citation and formatting style.

2. SCOPE OF SUBMISSIONS

The Journal publishes:

  • Original research articles
  • Applied and case-based studies
  • Review articles
  • Short communications
  • Book reviews
  • Special issue contributions

Interdisciplinary and methodologically plural research is strongly encouraged.

4. SUBMISSION AND ANONYMIZATION REQUIREMENTS

Submissions must include:

  1. An anonymised manuscript
  2. A separate title page

The anonymised manuscript must remove:

  • Author names
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Self-identifying citations
  • Acknowledgements
  • Funding and ethics statements

This ensures compliance with the Journal’s double-blind peer-review policy.

5. ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS

All manuscripts must include:

  • A structured abstract (150–250 words):
    • Purpose
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
  • 4–6 keywords, including methodological terms

6. FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

General Format

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: Double-spaced throughout
  • Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch)
  • Page numbers: Top right
  • Paragraph indentation: 0.5 inch

  • Clear, concise academic prose
  • Avoid excessive jargon
  • Define technical terms at first use

11. ETHICAL COMPLIANCE

Authors must comply with the MIU Ethics and Malpractice Policy, including disclosure of:

  • Conflicts of interest
  • Funding sources
  • Use of AI-assisted tools
